General Note | The American Tract Society was first located at 150 Nassau St., New York, in 1832. A new typeface was introduced in 1848. The American Antiquarian Society copy is printed in the new typeface. Copy in hand also bears an inscription dated 1865. Metal-engraved frontispiece plate printed in colors. In pink cloth. Textual wood engravings variously signed by Robert S. Bross, Edward Bookhout, Augustus Fay, and "Chamberlin."
