The narratives of Knight and Slover (p. [568]-588) were first published in the Freeman's journal, Philadelphia, April 30-May 21, 1783, at the request of H.H. Brackenridge, by whom they were prepared for publication. They appeared also in pamphlet form, Philadelphia, 1783, with title: "Narratives of a late expedition against the Indians" ... " cf. Thomson, Bibl. of Ohio, 1880, no. 682; also, Hildeburn, A century of printing, 1885-86, no. 4262.
