Historical Note | Suzanne Abrams Newman moved to Cleveland, Ohio from New York City following her marriage to Cleveland businessman Ralph M. Newman in 1920. Ralph Newman was the secretary of the Cleveland chapter of The Crusaders, an anti-Prohibition organization. Through 1934, Ralph and Suzanne and their son, Ralph Newman, Jr., lived in the Wade Park area of Cleveland.
