Originally published in the Cincinnati Whig as a series of articles signed "Vindex." They were written for the purpose of accusing Daniel Drake, founder of the Cincinnati College Medical Department, of organizing that institution in order to destroy the Medical College of Ohio.
Attributed to Alban G. Smith [i. e. Alban Goldsmith] in "Dr. Drake's reply" published by the Cincinnati College Medical Department, 1835, and addressed "To the public."
