Summary NoteSummary: An anti-Masonic paper entitled the Ohio luminary had been printed in Jefferson since 1828. The June 5, 1830 issue of this paper announces its sale. Thus, on June 12, 1830, a new Ohio luminary, with a n.s. designation and Jonathan Warner as editor pro tem. begins. With the second issue (Aug. 14, 1830), the title becomes: Ohio luminary and Ashtabula pioneer.
