Summary NoteSummary: The Daily true Democrat was established as a Whig abolition paper by E.S. Hamlin & E.L. Stevens. The paper was sold to J.A. Briggs & T.G. Turner in 1848 who ran it as a lively Free Soil organ until the election of Taylor, when they sold it to J.C. Vaughan (or Vaughn) & T. Brown. Vaughan & Brown accept G. Bradburn & D.L. King as partners in 1857.
