Summary NoteSummary: The Bruces had published the Cleveland daily express in 1854. In Jan., 1855, the title was changed to the Cleveland morning express. The Bruces were both editors and publishers. William J. May joined them as an editor beginning with the Feb. 25, 1855 issue. By Jan., 1856, May was the editor of the Daily Clevelander. The Clev. directory of l857 lists W.W. Bruce as the foreman of the Cleveland plain dealer.
