Butterfield's "Historical account of the expedition against Sandusky," Cincinnati, 1873, no printing was done in Pittsburgh before the establishment of the Pittsburgh gazette, in July, 1786. The narratives of Knight and Slover were first published in the Freeman's journal, Philadelphia, April 30-May 21, 1783, at the request of H.H. Brackenridge, by whom they were prepared for publication. They were reprinted, Philadelphia, 1783, under title: Narrative of a late expedition against the Indians ...
