Complex NoteAlthough most bibliographies say that this title was published for some years as: The Spirit of the times and people's press (after the People's press of Batavia, N.Y. and the Spirit of the times merged), this merger title is not known to exist, especially for the period of 1830-1835 when the People's press should have ceased. It would instead appear that the Spirit of the times absorbed the People's press.
