Summary Note | Document containing the broadside entitled "Maryland's Appeal" sung to the tune of Thomas Moore's poem "The Harp That Once Thro' Tara's Halls." This broadside laments Marylanders' loss of freedom under the marshal law imposed by Abraham Lincoln during the Civil War. It appeals to Marylanders to have patience, for surely the day will come when they will be set free. The title and all of the verses are displayed within a decorative border.
