The 1st brigade of the 2d division, 3d corps, and later of the 1st division, 1st corps, was known as Duryée's Brigade during the time that it was commanded by General Abram Duryée, April 16-November 16, 1862. The regiments composing the brigade during this period were the 97th, 104th and 105th New York and the 107th Pennsylvania. The 12th Virginia and 88th Pennsylvania were attached to the brigade for a few days only.
