Provenance NoteCopy 2: "Flora A. Hanna, from father, 1892" inscribed on title page verso. Letter pasted on inside cover addressed to Howard and signed "Cousin Flora" explaining the book "belonged to your great-grandfather Hanna". Flora A. Hanna was the oldest daughter of Kersey Hanna. She was born 23 March 1850 in Center, Columbiana County, Ohio, and died 28 April 1933 in Cuyahoga County, Ohio. She never married. Flora's grandfather was Benjamin Hanna, son of Robert Hanna, an early settler of Columbiana County. In 1805 Robert Hanna was chairman of the first election of township officers in Fairfield township. He was elected a township trustee and his son Benjamin was elected township clerk and treasurer.
