General Note | Typescript. Caption title. Benedict served in Co. G, 19th Regt., Ohio Volunteer Infantry and appears to have been from Trumbull County, Ohio. He participated in the battles of Shiloh, Stone River and Chickamauga, and was a prisoner at Libby Prison, Richmond, Va. He was wounded at Chickamauga. He moved to Oregon in 1884.
