Following graduation from the Chicago Art Institute in 1919, Wilk began his career at International Photos. He provided journalistic photography for the Chicago Tribune, the New York Times, the Cleveland Plain Dealer, and the Associated Press. Wilk went to work for the Chessie-B&O News in 1947 and stayed with the company until his retirement in 1965. Wilk covered major political conventions, sporting events, and numerous northeastern Ohio events, including the Great Lakes Exposition, the Cleveland Air Races, and the Cleveland Clinic disaster of 1929. The collection consists of autographs, a medallion, newspaper articles, photographs, postcards, tickets and two scrapbooks.
