| Abstract: | The Community Fighters for Housing for Large Families was a self-help group which tried to assist large, low-income families in the inner-city of Cleveland, Ohio, find adequate housing. It maintained listings of available homes, assisted with the bureaucracy of federal housing programs, and held educational seminars on housing issues. It was directed by Reverend Doris Gilmer. The collection consists of grant proposals, correspondence, an organizational outline, case histories, a biography of Rev. Gilmer, and some miscellaneous items. | |
