After the war, he continued in aviation as a pilot. In 1927, he joined the Cleveland Pneumatic Tool Company of Cleveland, Ohio, as a sales representative, later becoming vice president. He was deeply involved in the National Air Races held in Cleveland, Ohio, serving as a starter or judge. He, his wife Lucille, and his secretary Anna Belle Elmslie were killed in a plane crash in 1952. The collection consists of images of Ephraim W. "Pops" Cleveland, his wife Lucille, other family members, business associates, and aviation colleagues. His collection of fine scale models of 1930s racing aircraft are preserved in the collections of the Western Reserve Historical Society's Crawford Auto-Aviation Collection in Cleveland, Ohio. The collection consists of portraits of aviation personalities and views of aircraft, most of which relate to the National Air Races held in Cleveland, Ohio, during the 1930s. Aviation personalities depicted include Hugo Eckener, Lee Miles, Milo Burcham, Benny Howard, Frank Hawks, Hugh Perry, John Livingston, Glenn Martin, Abbie Dill, James Doolittle, Julian Griffin, James Piersol, Al Williams, Ernest J. King, Eddie Rickenbacker, Roscoe Turner, Lowell Thomas, Jack Wright, and Charles Grant.
