 Abstract:  The Jefferson Mounted Guards, Louisiana Cavalry, was an independent cavalry company from Jefferson Parish, Louisiana, organized under Captain Guy Dreux. It served as a headquarters guard in the Army of the Tennessee, 1862-1865. The collection consists of a constitution, rules of order, and minutes of meetings of this guard from its inception until the unit left for war.
