 Abstract:  Munson Pond, in Geauga County, Ohio, was renamed Bass Lake in the 1870s when a portion of it was purchased by the Bass Lake Company and developed for recreation. Other portions of the lakefront were developed by the Bass Lake Investment Corp, George P. Durell, and Bass Lake Community, Inc. The collection consists of transcripts of clippings, historical sketches, an Urban Land Institute Panel Study, Master Plan, Public Relations Sketches, and correspondence, relating to the history and development of the Bass Lake area and Bass Lake Community, Inc.
