 Abstract:  David Clendenin was the assistant district paymaster of the United States Army in Poland, Ohio. The collection consists of pay and muster rolls, subsistence accounts, pay vouchers and receipts, morning reports, and abstracts of payments to members of the Ohio Militia during the War of 1812, and documents pertaining to the military activities of John Campbell, Return J. Meigs, and William Hull.

 Abstract:  The 187th Ohio Volunteer Infantry Regiment was an army regiment organized at Camp Chase, Ohio, on March 2, 1865. It was ordered to Georgia where it performed provost duty at Macon until it was mustered out on January 20, 1866. The collection consists of volunteer description lists and accounts of pay and clothing for Company A.

Includes correspondence, regimental orders, muster, regiment, and pay rolls, newspaper clippings, and lists of soldiers in various companies (including rolls of 18 companies stationed in Massachusetts and a roll of Vermont militiamen).
