His son, Samuel Jr. (1808-1884), was an Ohio state legislator. His grandson, Samuel E. (1844-1903), was also a Common Pleas Court Judge. Another grandson, James D. (1849-1935), was a minister. His great-grandsons, Frederick E. (1876-1944) and Arthur P. (1884-1973), were businessmen. The collection consists of the papers of the Williamson family, including business papers, deeds, a journal of James D.
