The Jewish War Veterans is the oldest active veterans society in the United States It was formed in 1896 as the Hebrew Union Veterans and merged with the Jewish Veterans of the War with Spain in 1920 to form the present organization. Post 14 activities have included social and charitable activities, lobbying for civil rights, and combating anti-Semitism.
