| Abstract: | Peter Neff (1798-1878) was a partner of Charles Bird, Harry Bird, and Samuel Nightingale in the hardware business in Baltimore, Maryland, between 1818 and 1828. In 1835 he settled in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he continued in business and was active in banking. The collection consists of reminiscences containing references to his family, to his personal and business life, and also to his interests in the Presbyterian Church and in temperance activities in Cincinnati. | ||
