Rudd championed numerous liberal causes such as unemployment compensation, minimum wage laws, workers' compensation, and the abolition of capital punishment. He also served as director of the Cleveland Civil Liberties Union and on the board of directors of the Ohio Consumers League. The collection consists of correspondence, news releases, newspaper clippings, and miscellaneous material relating to legislation of interest to Rudd, to his 1960 Republican opponent, C. Lee Mantle, and other topics.
