The present name was adopted after a 1973 merger with the Stereotypers and Electrotypers International. It was organized in 1835 as the First Evangelical Protestant Church of Cleveland. The name was changed to Schifflein Christi in 1876. The church merged with Ebenezer Evangelical Church in 1923 to form the First Evangelical Church. In 1929 Evangelical Protestant Trinity Congregation merged with the church and took its name. After a 1953 merger with Glenville Evangelical and Reformed Church and a 1967 merger with the Fellowship Church in Wickliffe, Ohio, the name was changed to Fellowship United Church of Christ. Emmet was born in North Ridgeville in 1849 and spent his early life working on the family farm. In 1885 he married Mary Elizabeth Bailus at Dover, Ohio. About 1887 they moved to a farm near Tustin, Michigan, where Emmet was also engaged in the lumbering business. In the late 1920s the Beebes returned to North Ridgeville. The collection consists of diaries of Emmet and Mary Beebe and Erma Beebe May, correspondence, genealogical materials, account books, business papers, school work, recipe books, a tatting collection, clippings, and miscellaneous papers. A major accomplishment of his administration was the relief of the city's homeless and unemployed through the acquisition of federal Works Progress Administration (WPA) funds and the establishment of such programs as the Cleveland Metropolitan Housing Authority, the Wayfarer's Lodge, and municipal kitchens. The union merged with the Amalgamated Lithographers of America in 1964 to form the Lithographers and Photoengravers International Union. Also in 1964, Akron Local No. 51 was merged into Cleveland Local No. 24-P. The union merged with the International Brotherhood of Bookbinders in 1972 to form the Graphic Arts International Union. In 1966 the Cleveland local absorbed Youngstown Local No. 63 and in 1976 it took in the Photo-Industrial Local No 24-A.
