Includes 40 letters from prominent people, saved by Kelley for their autographs.

 Abstract:  Alta House was established in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1895 as a day care nursery for working mothers in Cleveland's "Little Italy" neighborhood. It quickly grew into a full service community center, offering recreational and social activities as well as social services. The Rockefeller family were major contributors and advisors to Alta House. The collection consists of minutes, reports, financial records, and correspondence.

 Abstract:  Charles Hegiins (1766-1820) was a United States army contractor, of Sunbury, Pennsylvania. The collection consists of correspondence, estate papers, accounts, and receipts, chiefly relating to Hegins' purchase of food and other supplies for troops in Michigan, Ohio, and Pennsylvania during the War of 1812. Includes a biographical sketch of Hegins and his family by Mina S. Gibson. Correspondents include his wife, Amelia Drum Hegins.

 Abstract:  The Council of Churches of Christ of Greater Cleveland is an interdenominational organization founded in 1911 as the Federated Churches of Cleveland to coordinate the community welfare and education activities of 67 Cleveland, Ohio, churches. In 1934, a new constitution was adopted, which officially changed the name of the organization to the Cleveland Church Federation. A new constitution in 1958 changed the Federation's name to the Cleveland Area Church Federation. In 1965 the Cleveland Area Church Federation adopted another new constitution and new name, Council of Churches of Christ of Greater Cleveland, and in 1985, the Council adopted its present name, Interchurch Council of Greater Cleveland. The collection consists of constitutions, amendments, histories, reports, minutes, correspondence, newsletters, bulletins, pamphlets, other publications, newspaper clippings, surveys, scrapbooks, and membership, personnel, and administrative records.

 Abstract:  Marion D. Ward was a sergeant in Company D, 102nd Regiment, Ohio Volunteer Infantry, during the American Civil War. Ward apparently saw little battle action with his regiment while stationed in Kentucky, Tennessee, and Alabama. the collection consists of letters written by Ward to friends, including Miss Artie M. Dickson of Olivesburgh, Richland County, Ohio, during the Civil War, describing his general duties, drills, marches, lack of food, and other aspects of camp life, as well as his own feelings about the war and its causes and the competence of the military leadership.

The collection consists of letters to Lord and speeches by him, relating to his activities as an educator, his editorship of educational journals, and efforts in establishing teachers' institutes in Ohio.
