He turned the business over to his son, Raymond, during the 1920s. Michael Kniola was also active in church and community affairs and organizations such as the Polish Falcons Alliance of America, Nest 141, and local Republican party politics. He also served as agent and executor for Cleveland Poles and their relatives in Poland.
