| | Abstract: | The Beilstein-Young Company of Cleveland, Ohio, was a funeral home firm. Fred Beilstein operated as an undertaker at 3311 Prospect Avenue as early as 1907, and in 1913 the Beilstein-Young Company was incorporated. The funeral home was located at 7508 Carnegie Avenue from 1918-1921. The firm moved to 1795 Crawford Road in 1921. Fred Beilstein died in 1926, and his partner William W. Young became president and treasurer, with W. E. Beilstein as vice president. The collection consists of bound funeral registers. The registers list details about the deceased including name, date of birth, occupation, marital status, religion, place and cause of death, certifying physician, and name and birthplace of parents. The details of the funeral service include location, resider, place of burial, style of casket, and a diagram of the cemetery lot. The name and address of the party paying for the funeral is also listed, with an itemized list of services and expenses, and payment schedule.
