1Title:  A journal of Wayne's campaign: Being an authentic daily record of the most important occurrences during the campaign of Major General Anthony Wayne, against the northwestern Indians; commencing on the 28th day of July, and ending on the 2d day of November, 1794; including an account of the great battle of August 20th
 Creator:  BoyerLieutenant
Publication:  Printed for W. Dodge, by J.F. Uhlhorn, Cincinnati,1866.
Notes:  Originally printed in the American pioneer, Cincinnati, 1842, v. 1, p. 315-322, 351-357. A letter (v. 1, p. 294) by the owner of the manuscript, who was himself in Wayne's army, states that the Journal was written by "a Lieutenant Boyer." No such name is found on the army rolls, and it is probable that the writer referred to was John Bowyer of Virginia, who took part in the expedition as lieutenant in the 3d sub-legion.
