The National Convention which assembled at Baltimore on the 7th of last June, and there nominated Abraham Lincoln for re-election as president, with Andrew Johnson as vice-president, adopted and presented to the American people the following platform. ... Chicago. The Democratic National Convention which gathered at Chicago on the 29th of August, and presented the name of George B. McClellan for president, and George H. Pendleton for vice-president, agreed on and adopted the following platform. ... Points of difference. The rival platforms just given, differ, as will be seen, mainly on these points: ... Freemen of the United States! read, mark, weigh, resolve, and vote! This is preèeminently a contest regarding important principles and measures, compared with which, personal considerations are of small account
