The name was changed to the Forest City Hebrew Benevolent Association in 1928. The Association's aims were the improvement of Jewish cultural and educational life, contributing to charitable organizations, and providing aid to Jewish educational institutions and members of the association. It is one of the few benevolent associations that still provides sick and death benefits to members and their families.
