 Abstract:  The Council of Churches of Christ of Greater Cleveland is an interdenominational organization founded in 1911 as the Federated Churches of Cleveland to coordinate the community welfare and education activities of 67 Cleveland, Ohio, churches. In 1934, a new constitution was adopted, which officially changed the name of the organization to the Cleveland Church Federation. A new constitution in 1958 changed the Federation's name to the Cleveland Area Church Federation. In 1965 the Cleveland Area Church Federation adopted another new constitution and new name, Council of Churches of Christ of Greater Cleveland, and in 1985, the Council adopted its present name, Interchurch Council of Greater Cleveland. The collection consists of constitutions, amendments, histories, reports, minutes, correspondence, newsletters, bulletins, pamphlets, other publications, newspaper clippings, surveys, scrapbooks, and membership, personnel, and administrative records.

2Title:  Congregational Union of Cleveland Churches Records

 Abstract:  The Congregational Union of Cleveland Churches was organized in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1853, as the Cleveland Congregational Conference, to oversee the organization of new churches and the mergers of existing churches, and to provide financial assistance. In 1912 it merged with the City Missionary Society to form the Congregational Union of Cleveland. In 1963 the Union was merged into the Western Reserve Association of the United Church of Christ. The collection consists of governing board records, committee records, records of Congregational churches, and histories. Includes minutes, programs, correspondence, newspaper clippings, a scrapbook, and four unpublished works by Reverend Karl O. Thompson.

 Abstract:  Fidelity Baptist Church is a Cleveland, Ohio, church organized in 1891, as Fidelity Free Will Baptist Church. In 1892 it became Fidelity Baptist Church. In answer to changing social conditions in the neighborhood during the 1950s and 1960s the church became involved in several community welfare organizations. The collection consists of minutes, financial records, programs, membership records, constitutions, agreements, Sunday School records, legal records, baptism and death records (1892-1912), miscellaneous files, and records documenting the church's work with community welfare organizations, including records of the Cleveland Area Church Council and the Inner City Protestant Parish.
