 Abstract:  Thomas Jefferson Hyatt (1830-1864) was a Captain in the 126th Regiment, Ohio Volunteer Infantry, during the American Civil War. He was killed on September 19, 1864. The collection consists primarily of letters from Hyatt to his wife, Mary, of Marlboro, Ohio. Originally published as "Captain Hyatt; being the letters written during the years 1863-1864 to his wife, Mary." Hudson Hyatt, ed. (Ohio State Archaeological and Historical Quarterly, 53: 166-183).
