 Abstract:  The Grinnell family resided in Ravenna, Ohio. William Grinnell, David D. Bard (1843-1864), and John Hamilton Furry all served in the 104th Ohio Volunteer Infantry Regiment during the American Civil War. The collection consists of letters, diaries, and other papers of family members, primarily relating to the Civil War. Includes service records and diary of Captain William Grinnell (1863-1898), two volumes of records of ordnance stores kept by Captain David Bard (1862-1864), and two pocket diaries of John Hamilton Furry (1863-1864).
