 Abstract:  Jesse B. Strawn (b. 1836) was a resident of Salem, Ohio. The collection consists of two journals kept by Strawn from 1857 to 1859 and one volume of his reminiscences as a resident of Salem, Ohio in the nineteenth century.

The collection consists of correspondence, vouchers, invoices, and other military papers; and legal papers and other material relating to Salem, Ohio, including records of the Western Anti-Slavery Society and partnership agreement between Jacob Heaton and James C. Marshall to sell goods.
