[1] "A comparative view of the natural small pox, inoculated small pox, and vaccination" (p. 6) is an abridged version of the table published anonymously in the Royal Jennerian Society's Address (London, 1803) under title: A comparative view ofthe natural small-pox, inoculated small-pox, and inoculated cow-pox. In a separate edition "published by order of the Medical Council of the Royal Jennerian Society" and in a reprint of this on p. 104-105 of Charles Maclean's On the state of vaccination in 1810 (London, 1810) the author is identified as John Addington. The separate edition, Maclean states, "must have been published between 1803 and 1806." Certificate approving vaccination. (p. 7) signed by Philadelphia physicians and dated Apr. 12, 1803, with a supplementary list of signers dated May 26, 1806. Recommendation of vaccination (p. 8) published by order of the Board of Managers of the Philadelphia Dispensary, dated Apr. 25, 1803, and signed: William White, president.
