 Abstract:  Charles Albert Turner (1843-1863) was a Monroeville, Ohio, soldier who served with the 101st Regiment, Ohio Volunteer Infantry (1862) and with the Mississippi Marine Brigade (1863), during the American Civil War. He died after the Vicksburg campaign in July 1863. The collection consists of letters, mostly to his parents, Albert and Hannah (Covert) Turner, written while Turner served in the Civil War.
