| Abstract: | The collection consists of 90 photographs of an unidentified German-American family from Lakewood, Ohio. Included are portraits of men, women, and children, including four identified photographs of Ludwig Skowronski, George Nickelson, Ferdinand Van Rossun, and Hermann Boerner. Also included are group photographs, including two of weddings. Views, many of which are labeled in German, show scenes of Lakewood, Ohio, and Chicago, Illinois, beer hall interiors, beach and backyard picnic scenes, yachts, general lake scenes, a German convention, household scenes, boating parties, children playing, Christmas celebrations, and the Bedford Reservation of Cleveland Metroparks. | |
