 Abstract:  Charles Hegiins (1766-1820) was a United States army contractor, of Sunbury, Pennsylvania. The collection consists of correspondence, estate papers, accounts, and receipts, chiefly relating to Hegins' purchase of food and other supplies for troops in Michigan, Ohio, and Pennsylvania during the War of 1812. Includes a biographical sketch of Hegins and his family by Mina S. Gibson. Correspondents include his wife, Amelia Drum Hegins.
