 Abstract:  Philip L. Cobb (1870-1929) was a Cleveland, Ohio, civil engineer, surveyor and amateur genealogist. He traced his family's history and published over a dozen books on it and other genealogical topics. The collection consists of genealogical charts, manuscripts of Cobb's publications, correspondence, notes, notebooks, newspaper clippings, genealogical data cards and index cards detailing the genealogy of the Cobb family and its allied families.

 Abstract:  Laura Demsey Andrews (ca. 1875-1952) was the daughter of Doctors John N. and Tabitha Duncan Demsey, who moved from Huron County, Ohio to Decatur, Illinois ca. 1884 and then settled on a farm near Warrensburg, Illinois. Laura took a teaching job in Decatur in 1884. That October she married Horace Andrews and moved to Norwalk, Ohio. Shortly before 1900 they moved to Cleveland, Ohio, where Horace practiced law. The collection consists of a copy of a handwritten diary with typed transcripts inserted following their corresponding pages. Topics include Andrews' life on the family farm and as a teacher in Decatur, Illinois.
