 Abstract:  Willam Leet was the grandson of Samuel Leet of Guilford, Connecticut. William's father, Jared, moved to Williamstown, Massachusetts, in 1792. William moved to Lorain County, Ohio, in 1839. His daughter, Mary Ann, married Joseph Moon and had a daughter named Catharine who married Philo Bennett in 1855. The collection consists of receipts, financial accounts, deeds, items relating to the settlement of William Leet's estate, Philo Bennett's Civil War discharge papers, his will, and his wife Catharine's Civil War Widow's Pension.

 Abstract:  Elisha S. Loomis (1852-1940) was a professor of mathematics at Baldwin-Wallace College, Berea, Ohio, and head of the mathematics department at Cleveland's West High School. The collection consists of correspondence, autobiography, recollections, speeches, genealogical material, scrapbooks, and other papers, relating to education, geometry, mathematics, Sunday schools in Ohio, and Ohio pioneers. Includes biographical account of Dr. Aaron Schuyler, president of Baldwin University, obituary and cemetery records (1904) of Berea, Ohio, and genealogical material on Clara Byrde Loomis and Michael Shire, and the Beall, Benedict, Lawrence, Leete, Le Fevre, Loomis (Lumas), Oberholtzer, Rhoades, Taylor, Trowbridge, and Wright families.
