His son, Hiram, was sheriff in 1828, an Ohio congressman from 1865 to 1870, and a participant in the unsuccessful Cleveland, Medina and Tuscarawas Railroad Company from 1851 to 1857. The collection consists of a family record book containing the accounts of a store operated by the Bronsons and E.M.
