 Abstract:  Anthony Wayne (1745-1796) was a Revolutionary War general who defeated the Indians at the Battle of Fallen Timbers on the Maumee River, 1794, leading to their surrender at Greenville in 1795. The collection consists primarily of letters to Wayne concerning Army personnel and administration and his campaign against the Indians (1794); together with ordnance return (1794) for Fort Knox and muster roll (1796) for Fort Fayette, Pennsylvania.

 Abstract:  The Kirtland and Morse families were founders of Poland, Ohio, and include among their members Judge Turhand Kirtland, Dr. Jared P. Kirtland, and businessmen Henry K. and Henry G. Morse. The collection consists of correspondence, account books, daybooks, land deeds, shipping records, and other papers of George, Henry T., Jared and Turhand Kirtland, and of Edwin, Eldredge, Elkanah, Emery and Henry K. Morse, and of other members of the Kirtland and Morse families. Includes records of the Kirtland and Morse Company and of the Morse Bridge Company, papers of Richard Hall and William Truman, a transcript of a journal by William Law, a history of Anthony Wayne's Indian campaign, and a biography of and letters to Dr. Jared Potter.

 Abstract:  The collection consists of a negative photostat copy of a roster of troops engaged in the Battle of Maumee of the Lakes, November 4, 1791. Fought by a Battalion of the 2nd United States Infantry, and levies form Maine, Kentucky, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and New Jersey, under Major General Arthur St. Clair. A photostatic copy of pp. 17-18 and 21-31, Record Group 94, National Archives and Records Administration; pp. 19-20 are lacking.
