| Abstract: | Carl Anton Walder (1881-1974) was a Swiss immigrant who settled in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1912. He was the founder of the Best Stove and Repair Company and a trustee and chairman of the board of the North American Swiss Alliance. He also served as the first Swiss Consular Agent for the Ohio District around Cleveland from 1936 to 1950. The collection consists of portraits of Carl Anton Walder and his family and friends. Also included are views of the Best Stove and Repair Company, the Cleveland Swiss Society, and a trip to Switzerland. | ||
