The collection consists of a list and description of lots sold by Bezaleel Wells in Steubenville, Jefferson County, Ohio, 1796-1803; early surveys of land in or near Steubenville, 1814 and undated; two land contracts, 1799; and commissions of Bezaleel Wells, 1797, and Francis A. Wells, 1849.

 Abstract:  Philip L. Cobb (1870-1929) was a Cleveland, Ohio, civil engineer, surveyor and amateur genealogist. He traced his family's history and published over a dozen books on it and other genealogical topics. The collection consists of genealogical charts, manuscripts of Cobb's publications, correspondence, notes, notebooks, newspaper clippings, genealogical data cards and index cards detailing the genealogy of the Cobb family and its allied families.

 Abstract:  Carolyn Hale Rodgers was a Cleveland, Ohio, native who attended Hathaway Brown School and authored several short plays and a children's book, "Pirate's Loot." She was active in the Daughters of the American Revolution in Pelham Manor, New York where she settled after attending Bennett School in Millbrook, New York. The collection consists of genealogical notes on the Hale and Welles family, a Hale family genealogy by James Buckingham, and a scrapbook on Carolyn Hale Rodgers' life.
