| Abstract: | The Cleveland Hiking Club was founded in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1919 to encourage and promote outdoor recreation for people living in northeast Ohio. The collection consists of architectural records, a ballot, booklets, brochures, certificates, constitutions, a cookbook, correspondence, directories, event announcements, fabric swatches, financial records, flyers, a guest register, lists, log books, magazine articles, maps, membership records, minutes, newsletters, newspaper and magazine clippings, newspaper articles, organizational histories, proclamations, programs, reports, schedules, and scrapbooks. The collection also contains approximately 2,228 black and white photographs, 750 color photographs, 118 negatives, and one VHS videotape. | |
