 Abstract:  After his ordination, Reverend Samuel Findley (1786-1870) settled in Guernsey County, Ohio, in 1818. He served as pastor for Presbyterian churches in Fairview, Washington, and Antrim (1824-1850), and founded Madison College in Antrim (est. 1839). He was also editor of The Religious Examiner, the organ of the Associate Reformed Church. The collection consists of two notebooks containing biblical exercises and Findley's writings on topics relating to religion and theology.
