These troops were sponsored by Taylor Road Synagogue, an Orthodox congregation in Cleveland Heights, Ohio, and were a part of the national Girl Scouts organization. They offered specifically Jewish activities for Jewish girls, served only kosher food, and did not schedule events on the Sabbath or on Jewish holidays.
