Founded as the Jewish Day School Association of Cleveland in 1980, the Solomon Schechter Day School was originally located at the Beth Am Congregation in Cleveland Heights, but moved several times to accommodate a growing student population, starting with just fifteen students at its inception. Now the Gross Schechter Day School, the institution is currently housed in Pepper Pike and serves nearly 260 students.
