Zeisberger, David http://norton.wrhs.org/collections/view?docId=ead/MS4095.xml David Zeisberger was a Moravian missionary who worked to convert the Indians of Tuscarawas County, Ohio, to Christianity. After hostile Indians forced them to leave the area, Zeisberger, John Heckewelder, and 95 Indian converts moved to Cuyahoga County, and founded a settlement named Pilgerruh in 1786. In April, 1787, threats from local Indians and white settlers forced Pilgerruh to disband. The collection consists of transcripts of a diary and correspondence which deal with the Pilgerruh settlement. http://norton.wrhs.org/collections/view?docId=ead/MS4095.xml Wed, 01 Jan 2014 12:00:00 GMT
